OMI Domus (6060)

OMI/Domus adresses the topic of embedded open microprocessor control systems in the field of white goods domestic applicances such as washing machines, dishwashers, dryers, fridges and cookers. The project is carrying out a market analysis and technical definition in order to define the requirements for a demonstrator for this sector.

The market analysis will define user requirements in terms of cost and product expectations. The requirements definition will adress both hardware and software specifications. The hardware specification will cover performance, power consumption, input and output memory, temperature range, unit size and unit cost. The software specifications will cover language and operating systems requirements, development tools, software architectures, application requirements, software and hardware trade-off, advanced control algorithms and user-friendly dialogue.
