Participating in European ICT research
The European Commission funds ICT research by selecting project proposals submitted in response to a ‘Call for proposals’. This section brings together background information to help potential participants to build, submit and manage their project. You can also check out out a practical guide to funding opportunities.
The proposal process is triggered by the call. See the Calls page for more details on these official invitations for researchers to submit project proposals for a specific research area by a specific date. The Create project page provides more guidance on how to put together a proposal.
Most project proposals need to be submitted by a consortium, bringing different partner organisations together. See the Partner search page for support in finding suitable organisations to become project partners.
The events pages highlight conferences, seminars and training days that will be of interest to potential participants in European ICT research.
The GPF (Grant Agreement Preparation Form) Editor has been developed to allow electronic exchange of Grant Agreement Preparation Forms (GPF) between applicants and Commission representatives. You can find more information and dowload the GPF Editor application from the Grant agreement preparation page.
