Agriculture and the European Research Area

Description:
An international conference organised under the auspices of the French Presidency of the European Union, to examine the future of European agricultural research and how it could be improved under the European Research Area. Emphasis will be upon meeting the major challenges presented by the post-genomic society, agriculture and the environment, and the role of global and European policy in shaping the face of agriculture. Ways to implement initiatives proposed under the European research area such as greater mobility, networking, infrastructures, and closer cross border co-operation will be investigated.
