ADVENTURE projects
The key requirement of ADVENTURE projects is that they must be very challenging and ambitious. They aim to develop new scientific knowledge and technological capabilities with very high potential impact, using unconventional and innovative approaches. As with all parts of the Framework Programme, ADVENTURE projects must be of truly excellent scientific quality.
ADVENTURE projects may be undertaken in any research field where there are far-reaching new opportunities, including, in particular, multidisciplinary fields. The ambitious and challenging objectives of ADVENTURE projects mean that, if successful, they should lead to significant scientific and technological achievements. However, it is understood that their initial promise may not always be fulfilled. Furthermore, as the objective of NEST is not simply to duplicate other parts of the Framework Programme, the subject matter of ADVENTURE projects should cut across or lie outside the research areas supported by the FP's thematic priorities
ADVENTURE projects are implemented as STREPs (Specific Targeted Research Projects) and Co-ordination Actions.
