CORDIS, the European Commission's Research & Development information service, offers a central access to the current debates on the upcoming Framework programme (FP6). A dedicated service 'RTD beyond 2002', launched in January, provides yet more information on the on-going preparation. More than half of the Member States governments (including Germany, France, Spain and UK) have already published their positions in relation to the adoption of FP6 on the service. In addition, the service offers information from associated countries as well as national comments on the European Research area (ERA). The service is a valuable source to keep track on the formulation of future research and innovation priorities at stake from national perspectives.
