Objective This project consists in establishing direct access, from the University College of Cork, to the Spectroscopic data of the COMPASS Tokamak at UKAEA - Culham. The Computer Packet Switching Network will be used to transfer data between Culham and Cork. This will enable data to be processed and interpreted on a routine basis, and the role of impurities in the COMPASS Tokamak to be assessed. This will allow both staff and students of the Department of Experimental Physics, University College of Cork, to participate fully in the project. The spectroscopic data mentioned above will be delivered by the following diagnostics on COMPASS: a) X-ray Spectroscopy (1-23A) b) XUV and VUV Spectroscopy c) Visible spectroscopy Fields of science natural sciencesphysical sciencesnuclear physicsnuclear fusionnatural sciencesphysical sciencesopticsspectroscopy Programme(s) FP2-FUSION 10C - Research and training programme (Euratom) in the field of controlled thermonuclear fusion, 1988-1992 Topic(s) Data not available Call for proposal Data not available Funding Scheme Data not available Coordinator University College of Cork EU contribution No data Address CORK Ireland See on map Total cost No data Participants (1) Sort alphabetically Sort by EU Contribution Expand all Collapse all University College of Cork EU contribution No data Address CORK See on map Total cost No data
