Promoting added value through evaluation

Objective

OBJECTIVES
This research aims to improve the quality of initial and continuing training. The partners wish to promote the idea of training by highlighting the added value which a well-trained work force brings to companies. They will take as their starting point the practices commonly used by employers to assess the training of their employees.

ACTIVITIES
Firstly, the partners will identify and analyse the common assessment practices set in place by employers in order to assess the training of their employees. They will, in particular, examine the processes for assessing efficient companies, identify the assessment tools which these use and attempt to transfer these to less efficient companies. By pooling the results, it will be possible to isolate good investment and assessment practices.

RESULTS
- National reports on assessment and training systems used by employers.
- A manual, "Promoting added value through the process of assessment and training".
- Creation of a transnational network to promote good assessment practices.
