Objective Aims of project: Development of an aid for the design of underground lighting systems. Ergonomic, lighting and cost considerations are to be taken into account in the design work. In particular, attention is to be paid to the findings of previous research projects on lighting, which have to some extent been incorporated in the Guidelines on the Ergonomics of Underground Illumination in Coal Mines.
