Dissemination in Order to Eliminate Barriers for Use of Energy Saving Lamps in the Domestic Sector

Objective

Expected results are:

- dissemination of information on how to realise the large potential of energy savings through extended use of energy saving lamps.

- a better network and co-operation between the many involved parties result-ing in actions and development which support each other.

- actions in order to realise the large potential based on the dissemination by the seminars, brochures, posters, network etc.

Actions to be taken are:

- new material from manufactures retailers and others will be studied to see if there have come any changes since the former project was ended in 1996.

- meetings and discussion with manufactures, retailers, designers/architects, government agencies, utilities and consumer organisations in order to co-or-dinate the lifting of barriers, create more co-operation and prepare the semi-nars and the dissemination.

- preparation of dissemination material including brochure, posters etc.

- the different parties will draft presentations for the seminars, which will be commented and discussed in order to reach consensus.

- seminars in several EU and East European countries that will be used to spread the information found from the Market Research project on the Use of Energy Saving Lamps in the Domestic Sector. The seminar speakers should include representatives from all parties involved: CFL manufacturers, retail-ers, designers, architects, lamp/fixture manufacturers, utilities, government agencies, and consumer-organisations.
