Objective OBJECTIVESIn order to better prepare young people for the free movement of workers in Europe and to make their transition towards their first job easier, the project aims to improve the methods and content of the training programmes in the plumbing and heating engineering sector. In addition, it wishes to make young people aware of self-training and life-long learning, improve transparency as regards the content of their training and inform the partners about activities in the other Member States. Finally, it intends to strengthen the links and co-operation between initial and continuing vocational training, but also to improve vocational skills by raising the level of training programmes.ACTIVITIESThe partners will together develop training modules directly linked to the heating and plumbing sector. These will be based on new teaching methods which will incorporate the new requirements on environmental protection. The project will also familiarise young people with the new media and the new communication and information technologies. It will encourage the establishment of regional networks comprising vocational colleges, training centres and enterprises, particularly for improving the quality of vocational training and the links between initial and continuing training.PRODUCTS- Short-term courses, training modules, short-term transnational courses.- Academic or teaching tools.- Educational software, self-training material (CD-ROM and video cassette).- Seminars for instructors.Contract number : D/95/A/091/P/I/CONDomaine : Life long learningContents : Apprenticeship Products : Short transnational courses New occupational profiles Training programmes/ curriculum Public : Young people entering work Young people in training Programme(s) ET-LEONARDO DA VINCI 1 - Action programme for the implementation of a European Community vocational training policy Leonardo da Vinci, 1995-1999 Topic(s) I.1.1.a - Initial vocational training Call for proposal Data not available Funding Scheme CSC - Cost-sharing contracts Coordinator Schulzentrum Carl von Ossietzky - LGA - Gewerbliche Lehranstalten Bremerhaven EU contribution No data Address 7 Georg-Büchner-str. 27574 Bremerhaven Germany See on map Total cost No data Participants (7) Sort alphabetically Sort by EU Contribution Expand all Collapse all Berthold Horstmann GmbH Technische Lehrsysteme für die Aus- und Weiterbildung Germany EU contribution No data Address Wilhelm- Beckmann-Str. 13b, 45307 Essen See on map Total cost No data Berufsschule II Abt.
