Objective The project aims at studying the influence of hot/cold rolling and annealing on primary recrystallisation grain structures for non oriented and oriented silicon iron (0.2%Si + Al 6.5%). Hot rolling parameters will be studied on a laboratory hot rolling simulator (MPI) followed by trials on a pilot mill (CSM). X-ray measurements, metallography and single grain orientation measurements will be used to study primary and secondary grain structures obtained. Data will be used to develop and validate a recrystallisation model.
