The Czech Republic will participate in the Community programme for energy efficiency, SAVE II.
The Association Council of the European Commission has adopted a Decision (No. 4/98) which allows the Czech Republic to participate in the European Community Programme SAVE II. SAVE II is a multiannual Community Programme for energy efficiency. The Czech Republic's participation in this programme is subject to financial contributions from the Czech Republic to SAVE II, as set out on Annex II of the Decision, and certain terms and conditions as set out in Annex I of the Decision. The Czech Republic has become able to participate in Community Framework Programmes, specific programmes, projects or other actions, including those in the field of energy, according to Article 1 of the Additional Protocol to the European Agreement . This Agreement establishes an association between the European Communities and their Member States, and the Czech Republic. The Decision entered into force on 1 December 1998
