An Opinion of the Economic and Social Committee (Session of 25 March 1992) concerns the Commission proposal for a Council Decision on the conclusion of a Cooperation Agreement between the EEC and the Republic of Finland on a research and technological development programme in the field of renewable raw materials: forestry and wood products (including cork), FOREST (COM(91) 403 of 15.11.1991). The Committee endorses the proposal, which aims to involve Finland in the FOREST subprogramme of the specific RTD programme in raw materials and recycling (1990-1992). Under the Agreement, Finland will contribute ECU 280,423 to the funding of FOREST. Persons and research bodies from Finland will be entitled to submit proposals and to conclude corresponding research contacts with the Commission. Countries Finland
