Objectif EFDA continues to drive the development of a range of technologies that will be central to the ultimate goal of power generation from nuclear fusion, namely plasma physics, materials and diagnostics. The EU recognizes the potential of these EFDA technologies, and is looking to record and maximize the potential from technology transfer. It addition the EU wishes to create a dedicated in house Technology Transfer capability based on best practice. This proposal is presented by the Technoloy Transfer Programme Office of the European Space Agency. The objectives of the activity are:To capture, record and publicise the successes from Technology Transfer that have to date been created as a consequence of EFDA technology development. To increase the amount of Technology Transfer from EFDA Associates to industry and society in general. To assist the EU in the establishment of a Technology Transfer capability dedicated to EFDA activities. To ensure maximum synergy in technology transfer between EFDA and other EIROFORUM members such as ESA and CERN.
