Cyclical properties of new structural steels

Ziel

The concepts of cyclical and of endurance curves will be applied to the testing of several structural steels processed by accelerated cooling or by quenching and self-tempering. Small-machined specimens will be used to characterise the base metal as well as the heat affected zones of welded joints.
