Objectif

The project will determine and justify, in as far they relate to operator health and safety, the ergonomic requirements for a proposed new system of visual inspection of the surface quality of hot-rolled coil. On the completion of the installation of the new system it will evaluate and demonstrate the degree to which the in-built ergonomics features of the sytem assure the health and safety of the inspectors.

Ways and Means to Achieve the Work

Work station analysis using standard ergonomics methods will be used to compare the physical and mental load associated with the various possible alternatives.
