Objective The objective is to disseminate the technical knowledge and application experience from two recently finished ECSC/RFCS research projects. The primary tool is a handbook to be compiled on the application of advanced safe and lightweight stainless steel structures in ground transport vehicles, demonstrating the potential of such structures, and giving design guidelines for applications.Special emphasis is on the effect of stainless material, production methods and design on product LCC and environmental impact. Regional seminars are arranged covering the whole Europe, followed by a workshop for reviewing the seminar feedback and establishing future actions among European players on the field.
