VALUE: Response to call for proposals
Over 170 proposals have been received in reply to a call made under the VALUE programme (OJ No C 116 of 30.4.1991 p. 18) concerning the dissemination of the results of Community-funded RTD activities. Many of the proposals received deal with the establishment of new information services or the upgrading of existing ones (40% of the total response) and with the publication of texts related to Community research (25%). Other proposals include: Targeted dissemination activities, conference and information-day organization, audiovisual dissemination, and support for science and technology communicators. The call brought a strong response from the United Kingdom (28% of proposals received) as well as France (13%), Belgium (12%), Spain (12%) and Greece (10%). These proposals, in total representing requests for over ECU 15 million of Community support, are under Commission evaluation in order to select those most closely corresponding to the requirements of the programme.
