Foreseeti AB appoints security specialist apsec as distributor in German-speaking countries for the innovative IT security analysis tool securiCAD®

Swedish and German company close exclusive distribution contract to boost the market in Germany, Austria and Switzerland

Stockholm-based firm foreseeti AB and the German specialist in information security Applied Security Gmbh – for short: apsec – have been collaborating in the EU-funded project CyberWiz since 2015. Now, their partnership reaches a new level as foreseeti has appointed apsec as the exclusive distributor for its software securiCAD® in the German-speaking market. The software securiCAD® has the ability to model complex networks and to proactively simulate Cyber-attacks to the network. It discovers all vulnerabilities, the critical attack paths and estimates the time it takes an attacker to seriously compromise the security of the network. The algorithms within securiCAD® are based on several years of research and development both at foreseeti and at the Royal Institute of Technology Stockholm. SecuriCAD® was entitled “disruptive technology” by the EU commission, which funds the development of the software under the Horizon 2020 program. The innovative quality of the software and the strong market position, which is now even stronger with apsec on board as distributor in the important German-speaking market, has just recently led to the closing of another investor involvement for foreseeti to further boost the market. (See https://www.foreseeti.com/news/WHyfYisAADtI22rM/foreseeti-announces-sek-9-million-in-funding-led-by-experienced-entrepreneurs-and-innoenergy) So far, apsec has been the only reseller for securiCAD® in Germany. Thanks to the new distributor agreement also other resellers and consulting companies in Germany, Austria and Switzerland have the opportunity to benefit from apsec’s expertise. They can now apply to be qualified as certified resellers for securiCAD® by apsec and can then do sales and consulting for securiCAD®. CEO Frank Schlottke of apsec sees great value in the distribution contract: “I am deeply convinced that very soon no larger organisation will be able to handle their IT security without the use of a tool such as securiCAD®. IT networks are continually growing more and more complex and I see it as virtually impossible to handle them without the help of an intelligent tool. I don’t think that a human penetration tester is able to find all vulnerabilities and their reciprocal dependencies in a large network, say, of an energy provider by a manual test. That’s where simulation techniques come in and that’s no different in other fields of technology. After all, no engineer would build a bridge without thoroughly calculating the statics and simulate the influences of, say, a storm or an earthquake with some specialised engineering software. Why should we do less in the critical field of IT security?”. apsec presents securiCAD® at the fair E-World Energy & Water taking place in Essen, Germany, from 7th to 9th of February.
