The European Commission has published a call for proposals for the ENIAC Joint Undertaking. The ENIAC Joint Undertaking is a public-private partnership focusing on nanoelectronics that brings together Member/Associated States, the European Commission and the Association for European Nanoelectronics Activities (AENEAS). The topic areas included in the call have been selected in order to ensure broad participation among industry stakeholders, with an emphasis on the development of innovative technologies that meet social challenges and the establishment of demonstrable products. The call is divided between 25 'Grand challenges' that fall under eight topic areas, including: - automotive and transport; - communications and digital lifestyles; - energy efficiency; - health and the ageing society; - safety and security; - design technologies; - semiconductor process and integration; - equipment, materials and manufacturing.
