Farm safety in the EU: Which injuries, and who is counted?

This report extrapolates from farm injury and fatality data collated by Eurostat and national agencies to estimate the true number of farm injuries and fatalities in EU Member States; and, demonstrates the use of high quality farm health and safety data to national and EU farm health and safety policy makers and stakeholders. Youth perspectives of the future attractiveness of farming

This report presents the analysis and findings of qualitative research undertaken with young and potential future farmers, both men and women, from across the EU and draws out the implications of their perceptions of these visions and plans for the future, including farm inheritance/take over. Task 4.2

Causes and consequences of occupational injuries and ill health among farmers and farm workers

This report assess the impact of injury and ill health cases by type of labour forceinvolved (age, gender, family, local, external etc.) on the individual, the farm business and society. It draws on the Expert Focus Group approach. Task 3.2

This report presents analyses identifying the experiences of Inter and Intra EU Mobile Workers and assesses the nature and impact of FHS issues linked to their work and mobility. Task 5.4

Enabling conditions for market developments supporting ethical working conditions: A systematic evaluation of CSR design and implementation in the horticulture sector

This report analyses the design and implementation of CSR measures, introduced bysupermarkets, and assess their impacts on the labour conditions of farmers and farm workers, including mobile workers. Task 5.3

Farm Health and Safety in the EU: Needs, Challenges and Opportunities

This deliverable synthesises findings from Task 2.2 / 2.5 and Task 3.4. The report will consist of two main sections:Section 1: Understanding Farm Health and Safety Needs – A summary of key challenges identified by the Communities of Practice, drawing on qualitative data to highlight risks, contextual barriers, and suggested solutions. The section outlines roles for farmers, advisors, extension services, industry actors, and policymakers.Section 2: Survey Insights on Risk Engagement – Presentation of results from the Task 3.4 survey, involving approximately 500 responses from farmers and agricultural students. This section analyses the challenges faced in adopting safe practices and identifies the preferred forms of support that would help improve safety engagement.

Visions of the future of farming: Implications for the attractiveness of farming and food security

This report presents the analysis and results of the foresight process undertaken with the COPs in which they developed vision(s) for the future of farming in their region and explore the implications for labour and working conditions, and, consequently, the attractiveness of farming and long-term food security. Task4.2
