CORDIS provides links to public deliverables and publications of HORIZON projects.

Links to deliverables and publications from FP7 projects, as well as links to some specific result types such as dataset and software, are dynamically retrieved from OpenAIRE .

Deliverables

Models used in T2.1 integrated with decomposition rate modifiers from D2.2.a(i) (opens in new window)

Equation corresponding to D2.2.a(i) will be integrated in soil models used for web interface

New equations to describe allocation of C from GPP into mycorrhizae & its effect on decomposition (opens in new window)

Based on existing approaches we will represent C-N exchanges between trees and mycorrhizae. This approach must be consistent with requirements of ORCHIDEE and EFISCEN-space.

Global database of indicators of soil vulnerability & resilience to natural disturbances (opens in new window)

Synthesised existing knowledge on the potential vulnerability of soils to different disturbances and their recovery capacities.

Representation of biodiversity effect on C-N exchanges (opens in new window)

Using data gathered in other WPs, we will develop a simple approach able to represent the effect of biodiversity on C-N exchanges

Stakeholder-oriented tools for predicting future GHG balances from forest soils (opens in new window)

Version 2 of the web interface from D2.1.b, able to run with disturbances and providing confidence index to the end-user, based on model residues analysis

Updated open-source versions of ORCHIDEE, EFISCEN-space & ECOSSE (opens in new window)

New opensource releases of each model including novel functionality to simulate five selected CSF management strategies

Atlas of initial conditions & model evaluation (opens in new window)

Atlas containing maps documenting the initial conditions of the selected models, and documenting responses of the models to CSF management. Maps will include a comparison of the selected models with one another, and with observation-based products. The independent datasets will come from WP3, WP4, and WP5. The atlas will contain maps of bulk density, pH, litter depth, soil C content, soil C/N ratios, tree diameter, tree height, stand density, maps of litter input, soil respiration, basal area, standing biomass, and wood harvest.

Model ensemble script (opens in new window)

Python script able to run all models considered in T21 including equilibrium

New version of ORCHIDEE & EFISCEN-space (opens in new window)

Yasso07 and CENTURY—being the current soil modules of EFISCEN-space and ORCHIDEE, respectively—will be improved by integrating developments from T2.2, in order to represent the effects of soil biodiversity. Here we will implement them directly into the two ecosystem models used in WP6.

Definition of a decomposition rate modifier dependent on the level of microbial biodiversity (opens in new window)

Simple decomposition rate modifier driven by environmental variables to represent the effects of biodiversity, based on data gathered from other WPs
