Demonstrations of smart connectivity platform, support for resilient applications, and novel technologies (opens in new window)

This deliverable provides the proof-of-concept realized in both Task 5.1 and Task 5.2. It will show the smart connectivity platform realized by the RadioWeaves architectures, validate resilient wireless applications in a dynamic scenario, and demonstrate the extended interaction with energy-neutral devices.It will demonstrate that the improved service levels can be achieved with feasible implementation complexity.

Evaluation of the distribution of processing across infrastructure and associated requirements on back-haul and synchronization (opens in new window)

Estimates of distributed hardware resources, and their synchronization, needed to implement targeted algorithms for selected services and the associated requirements on back-haul data transfer between processing/hardware units.

Design of signalling schemes, protocols, and algorithms for energy-neutral devices (opens in new window)

Report on the system design studies for achieving wireless power transfer, high-rate communications, and accurate positioning with energy neutral devices.

The project quality plan project handbook constitutes a set of project templates and explains the project management review and internal quality control process as well as other organizational topics such as meeting organisation This handbook shall support all partners in their daily work

System design study for energy-neutral devices interacting with the RadioWeaves infrastructure (opens in new window)

Report on the results of the system study concerning energyneutral devices including power budgets performance analyses in realistic environments and results from a circuitlevel simulation study

Propagation characteristics and channel models for RadioWeaves including reflectarrays (opens in new window)

This deliverable will report on the channel measurements performed in Task 12 and provide the final a detailed evaluation of channel characteristics and an improved channel model based on measured and detailed channel characteristics

Ultra-robust and low-latency communications and mobility support (opens in new window)

This deliverable builds on the theoretical foundation formed in D3.1 and provides a detailed analysis of the robustness and latency that can be achieved with RadioWeaves and new methods to enhance these factors. Particular focus is on methods and waveforms for resilient communications under user mobility and other non-stationary channel effects.

Initial assessment of architectures and hardware resources for a RadioWeaves infrastructure (opens in new window)

This deliverable outlines a first RadioWeaves architecture proposal acting as a startingpoint for the detailed investigations performed at the later stages of the project As such it will contain initial proposals for low complexity hardware architectures solutions based on requirements for different services set by WP1

Analytical performance metrics and physical-layer solutions (opens in new window)

This report will provide a framework for physicallayer performance evaluation using the metrics determined in WP1 Existing algorithms will be evaluated towards the performance requirements set by the use cases and new algorithms will be presented to meet and surpass the requirements

Detailed experimental validation plan, design of experiments, and definition of common formats (opens in new window)

This report provides a detailed experimental validation plan. It will specify which experiments will be carried out in Task 5.1 and Task 5.2, and their timeline. The design of experiments will describe the distributed RadioWeaves topologies to be realized in the KU Leuven testbed and the particular experiments to be performed in the U Lund testbed. D5.1 will also define formats for interfacing to RadioWeaves panels and for the exchange of experimental data.

Updated plan and initial report on dissemination and communication activities (opens in new window)

This report constitutes an updated plan and initial report on the partners dissemination and communication activities of the first 12 monthsIt will also inlcude an overview of the advancements in terms of spectrum harmonization that took place in different radio regulatory bodies eg as the ITU and a short forecast on how current advancements may shape 6G in terms of eg overall requirements allocated spectrum parts etc

Hardware requirements to support energy transfer to energy-neutral nodes. (opens in new window)

This deliverable will report on the outcome of Task 24 and provide the required provisions at the infrastructure side for energy transfer

Final RadioWeaves architecture proposal, explaining the performance/complexity trade-offs made and detailing the specifications of both hardware resources and synchronization/data-exchange network needed to meet the requirements for scenario requirements set by WP1.

The deliverable documents the experiments that have been carried out. It will report on the results and provide an assessment of the proof of concept validation, including an actual complexity assessment. The scope of this deliverable is all experiments carried out in both Task 5.1 and Task 5.2.

Position Estimation and Environment Learning (opens in new window)

This report will provide the analysis, main findings, and algorithms for the positioning capability of RadioWeaves in realistic environments, addressing theoretical performance limits and signal processing algorithms, based on the specifications from WP1 and the and architectures developed in WP2. The deliverable will also describe methods and tools for learning site-specific properties of the radio environment at deployment time.

Final report on dissemination and communication activities (opens in new window)

This report summarizes all dissemination and communication activities carried out since project start and addresses planned activities beyond project lifetime (update of D6.3).

Use case-driven specifications and technical requirements and initial channel model (opens in new window)

This deliverable will report on the results of Task 11 providing an inventory of interactive use case specifications representative deployment scenarios technical requirements and KPIs for the three focus domains The deliverable will include the initial channel model based on existing measurements and modelsIt will report on the particular investigation of the origin of latency in wireless applications

Methods for communication and initial access with RadioWeaves (opens in new window)

This deliverable will provide a framework for communication and initial access in networks with RadioWeaves including both communicationtheoretic analysis and numerical simulations from Task 31 and Task 33 as well the key insights and guidelines for practical design D32 will in particular demonstrate how to reach the application needs set in WP1

Results of the assessment of achievable gains for use cases (opens in new window)

This deliverable will report on the results of Task 1.3. It will complement the inventory included in D1.1 with the actual achievable performance parameters based on the results of the project, both in terms of functionality and energy efficiency.

D61 constitutes an initial communication and dissemination kit for the DEFEAT project as well as the launch of the project website and the projects internal communication infrastructure
