PhD International CTU Superstars

Objective

PICTUS (PhD International CTU Superstars) is an International PhD Programme managed by the Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU) that will be launching, and disseminating at international level, a total of 2 Calls for recruitment to hire 23 international Doctoral Candidates (DCs), all to be enrolled in different PhD programmes at CTU, working and studying for specific theses research topics.
Each DC has two Supervisors: a distinguished CTU professor acting as main supervisor and a recognised academic and/or industrial co-supervisor based at an Associated Partner organisation (APs). The duration of the proposed doctoral programme is 60 months, each fellow (DC) will be given full employment contract for 48 months.
Each DC will undergo obligatory secondment of minimum 3 months/maximum 8 months (the length much depends on the type of research topic) in one of the 31 European and global Associated partners - universities or non-academic sector institutions- offering international, intersectoral and/or interdisciplinary experience and training complementary to CTU. Associate partners include leading universities in Europe (KU Leuven), Japan (Kanazawa Univ.) and USA (Yale univ.), small companies (RS Dynamics), large companies (Hitachi) and public institutions (CMI).
