Objective
OWASmooth delivers a technological breakthrough in sensor signal processing through a novel mathematical framework. It fundamentally redefines how noisy industrial signals are aggregated and enhanced, achieving 70% improvement in data quality compared to raw signals and far outperforming conventional filters, such as moving averages, frequency filters, or Savitzky–Golay methods. Unlike AI-based techniques, OWASmooth requires no training data, operates in real-time on low-power hardware, and eliminates the trade-off between accuracy, efficiency, and cost. Its lightweight algorithm enables industries to extend sensor lifetimes, reduce maintenance costs, and increase operational reliability, setting a new benchmark for efficient, high-quality signal processing in industrial, robotics, space, automotive, and IoT applications.
The objective of the DORIS project is to advance OWASmooth technology from laboratory validation (TRL 4) to industrial readiness while strengthening our business and investment capacities. We will enhance our proprietary data-optimisation algorithms, develop a neural-network-assisted no-code R&D Tool to accelerate customisation for specific use cases, and create a secure cloud-based deployment platform to simplify adoption by early industrial partners.
These activities will enhance scalability, reduce integration time, and facilitate validation in real-world environments. Parallel business development and partnership activities will increase market visibility and investment readiness, supporting the transition from a research concept to a commercially viable DeepTech company.
By combining mathematical innovation, technical validation, and business acceleration, DORIS directly contributes to the EIC work programme goals of fostering breakthrough technologies and preparing high-potential DeepTech startups for scale-up.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.

Net EU financial contribution. The sum of money that the participant receives, deducted by the EU contribution to its linked third party. It considers the distribution of the EU financial contribution between direct beneficiaries of the project and other types of participants, like third-party participants.
