Objective
DigiTire ToolKit is a deep-tech digital-twin innovation designed to accelerate the development of next-generation smart tires by unifying 3D tire modelling, virtual sensor integration, workflow automation, and ML-ready data generation within a single simulation-driven platform. The project aims to mature the technology from TRL 4 to TRL 6 through a series of integrated technical and business-readiness objectives aligned with the EIC Pre-Accelerator framework.
The project’s core objectives are to: (i) integrate real tire-mounted sensor (TMS) geometries, materials, and electronics into high-fidelity virtual tire models; (ii) build and validate multiple physical and virtual tire–sensor prototypes across static and dynamic load cases; (iii) achieve ≥95% correlation between physical and simulated acceleration signals; and (iv) develop automated pre- and post-processing pipelines that reduce modelling time by over 80%. Complementary business objectives include validating the collaboration model with OEMs and sensor makers, defining pricing and licensing strategies, and securing early IP protection for the numerical tire–sensor system.
These objectives will be achieved through a structured technical methodology that combines 3D CAD/CAE modelling, Abaqus Explicit simulations, controlled laboratory testing at established EU facilities, and fully automated data-processing scripts. The validation of virtual–physical correlation and reproducible synthetic sensor signals will demonstrate system reliability in relevant industrial environments.
DigiTire ToolKit directly supports the goals of the EIC Pre-Accelerator by advancing a breakthrough digital-engineering technology toward market readiness, reducing uncertainty around scale-up, strengthening IP positioning, and preparing the company for follow-up investment. The project enables a robust foundation for future EIC-Accelerator application by coupling technical excellence with a clear commercial pathway and strong industrial demand.
