Objective
An annual Television programme (2 x 30 or 4 x 15 minutes) in the framework of the European Broadcasting Union with the working title European Young Scientist Contest Television Series. The aim of the programme is: 1. to promote science among young people. 2. to increase awareness of science in Europe among the general public. The programme will show scientific research, career, education and background of the 4-6 awardwinners of the contest, which will be held in Valencia in September 2007.
The programme will be recorded in the countries of the awardwinners on location and also include the presentations and the awardwinning ceremonies in Stockholm. It is the intention to broadcast the programmes in almost all European countries with the assistance of the European Broadcasting Union (Education and Science Group). In this proposal 9 participating companies guarantee already broadcasting. It will not be a problem to invite all the European public broadcasters in the Group.
