Excellence in European eContent localisation

Objetivo

The EEEL project has improved knowledge and awareness of Best Practice for e-content localisation. It documented Best Practice through 15 to 20 in-depth Case Studies, which were developed in collaboration between leading practitioners and their customers.

Based on research for these Case Studies, the project team in collaboration with a leading management consultancy developed robust scenarios and Best Practice Models. These were made available to companies for self-evaluation and for use by consultants and service suppliers to help e-content publishers with strategic and tactical planning.

The project supported the sharing of the expertise and experience of the localisation industry with European businesses, building common understanding and consensus within the European e-business and e-content communities on how to exploit more fully the opportunities of the multilingual and multicultural European market. The project also conducted active and widespread dissemination of the Best Practice Case Studies Models, published in seven European languages and presented at a number of Web-based and live dissemination events.
