EU air monitoring authorities are struggling to acquire pollution data to develop clear and concrete emission reduction strategies. To monitor each individual polluting gas, it is necessary to perform analyses in separate, bulky and expensive instruments, placed in fixed monitoring stations, occupying entire technical rooms. These instruments encounter financial, logistical and data limitations, because they are expensive, bulky, not portable and require regular calibration and continuous operation by expert technical staff.
At MIRO Analytical Technologies we have developed EnviroLAS, the first all-in-one instrument for advanced pollution monitoring, allowing the measurement of 6 different pollutants (CO, O3, SO2, NO, NO2, NH3) and 4 greenhouse gases (H2O, CO2, CH4 and N2O) continuously, simultaneously and precisely through a light and easily transportable device based on direct laser absorption spectroscopy.
