Promoting Research on Digitalisation in Emerging Powers and Europe towards Sustainable Development

Deliverables

R&I Secondment and Activity Reports on Digitalisation for Sustainability in Economy and Environment (opens in new window)

Seconded staff will produce a report on each secondment to document R&I activities and achievements.

R&I Lectures, Seminars, and Workshops on Digitalisation for Sustainability in Governance and Society (opens in new window)

Researchers organise at least 2 lectures, seminars, or workshops per secondment, one at host institution during secondment, one at home institution after reintegration.

Final Conference and Activity Report (opens in new window)

The project concludes with a Final Conference, incl. outreach event and public debate. It brings together all participating researchers and stakeholders from all target groups to present and discuss R&I results, policy advice, training formats and network sustainability measures.

Quality Assurance and Evaluation System Concept (opens in new window)

The Steering Committee sets up a R&I quality assurance system to support the R&I quality and activities with contributions from all consortium members. The instruments include feedback, revision, and in-house quality control for R&I publications in line with home and host institutions, the review of Secondment and Activity Reports, comments and monitoring reports of supervisors for ESR.

Concept for Transnational Open Access Trainings, Implementation and Activity Reports (opens in new window)

Transnational Open Access Training in the focus areas make accessible R&I results for students, trainers, and capacity-development institutions. Implementation takes place in parallel in Germany and Mexico, and Germany and Brazil respectively with support from technical and administrative staff. The concept is openly published as a template.

Researchers prepare at least one R&I publication per secondment on the approved research topic. Publications can be working papers, journal articles, book chapters, policy briefs, concept papers, or similar publication.

Semi-annual Project Newsletter (opens in new window)

The Online Newsletter provides information on the project every six months. It is compiled by DIE with input from all organisations and circulated through the International Dissemination and Communication Database. The first issue is planned to be published in month 6, the final issue in month 66.

Joint R&I Agenda and Action Plan Improved Continuous Cooperation (opens in new window)

To facilitate long-term research cooperation, the consortium formulates a Joint R&I Agenda and Action Plan on the basis of proposals for R&I projects by researchers and proposal by non-academic staff for actions to improve technical, managerial or administrative cooperation. It includes lessons learnt from the digital and long-distance elements of cooperation, incl. Transnational Open Access Training and Online Repository, and considers national and EU research and network funding opportunities.

Policy Briefs, Policy Labs and Activity Reports (opens in new window)

Innovative, participatory international multi-stakeholder Policy Labs on the project’s two focus areas with at least 20 participants generate advice for policy-makers and technology developers on policy paths that are more likely to maximise benefits of digitalisation for sustainability. Policy Labs and Briefs are prepared by IAI and DIE with support from CSIS.

Researchers prepare at least one R&I publication per secondment on the approved research topic. Publications can be working papers, journal articles, book chapters, policy briefs, concept papers, or similar publication.

Launch of Project Website (opens in new window)

PRODIGEES features a state-of-the-art website as the main communication hub. DIE develops and launches the website with support by DIE’s communication department in the first 3 months and provides continuously updates.

Open Research Data Pilot (opens in new window)

The consortium will participate in the ORDP pilot and implement relevant processes accordingly.

Launch/Update of Online Repository of Digital Knowledge Product (opens in new window)

Each seconded researcher produces one Digital Knowledge Product on the approved research topic. Products feed into an Online Repository maintained by DIE, widely distributed also to the wider public via local and social media, and used in Transnational Open Access Trainings. The first version is planned to be published in month 12. Updates are foreseen at least on an annual basis. The final version is due in month 48.
