CORDIS

Switchable magneto-plasmonic contrast agents and molecular imaging technologies

CORDIS provides links to public deliverables and publications of HORIZON projects.

Links to deliverables and publications from FP7 projects, as well as links to some specific result types such as dataset and software, are dynamically retrieved from OpenAIRE .

Deliverables

Biofunctional initial contrast agent (opens in new window)

Protocol established to biofunctionalize the first batch of initial nanorods. The nanorod surface is modified by antibodies and/or suitable surface molecules that later facilitate their application as contrast agent under realistic measurement conditions.

Nanorod solvent transfer of first batch of initial nanorods (opens in new window)

Protocol established for the solvent transfer of the first batch of initial nanorods. As a result, the nanoparticles are transferred from organic solvents to aqueous solution. Specific surface ligands are chosen to guarantee a stable nanorod dispersion in aqueous solution.

Final batch of initial magnetic nanorods (opens in new window)

Synthesis protocol of final batch of initial nanorods including basic structural characterisation (TEM, EDX).

Characterisation of initial nanorods (opens in new window)

Characterisation of initial nanorods (full characterisation including magnetic, optical and hydrodynamic nanorod properties).

First batch of intitial magnetic nanorods (opens in new window)

Synthesis protocol of first batch of initial nanorods including basic structural characterisation (TEM, EDX).

Web site and logo (opens in new window)

A project web site is set up. Additionally, a project logo has been designed. A project LinkedIn account created.

Public molecular imaging workshop (opens in new window)

Advantages of the SWIMMOT technology demonstrated to the public via molecular imaging workshop organised by the MUW.
