ChemArch: The organic chemistry and molecular biology of archaeological artefacts

CORDIS provides links to public deliverables and publications of HORIZON projects.

Links to deliverables and publications from FP7 projects, as well as links to some specific result types such as dataset and software, are dynamically retrieved from OpenAIRE .

Deliverables

Peer-reviewed position paper (opens in new window)

Peer reviewed position paper describing the minimum requirements for conducting and reporting organic residue analysis of prehistoric artefacts, discussion limitations of previous approaches in respect to current state-of-the-art.

Science festival outreach report (opens in new window)
Database of molecular preservation parameters (opens in new window)

As a key whole project interim scientific deliverable, the ESRs will create a database of molecular preservation parameters (e.g. lipid yields, compound classes present) by artefact type, burial context and geolocation. This is will be key building block enabling researchers, both within the project and external to it, to identify suitable archaeolgical contexts for molecular analysis. The database will be created in Month 18 and deposited with the Archaeology Data Service on completion of the project Month 48.
