Deliverables

Communication and dissemination strategy plan (opens in new window)

Communication and dissemination strategy plan report including a description of the target audiences the channels of communication support material activities responsibilities and timing

Battery circular economy in Europe (opens in new window)

As a result of T1.4, a report will be presented describing the battery circular economy in Europe. This study will contain a circular economy analysis, including the main aspects within the whole battery lifecycle (production, exploitation and end-life) as environmental impact, recycling, second life application finding solutions and problems to the topics of waste, evaluating the capabilities of today’s production and forecasting the possible growth and related issues for the next 15 years.

Detailed requirements document (opens in new window)

As a result of T2.2, T2.3 & T2.4, a detailed document with requirements will be presented. The battery system requirements for the different applications will be defined based on operational performance, safety requirements, regulations, and integration by standardisation.D3.1 Integrated safe, modular & flexible battery system architecture.

Application matrix (opens in new window)

As a result of T2.1, a report describing the application matrix, divided in groups based on the load balances of the battery packs, will be presented. The operational requirements of each of the applications defined will be put together based on the typical operational profile and operational boundaries for the specific application.

Stakeholder group setup, mapping and engagement plan (opens in new window)

Stakeholder group setup mapping and engagement plan including identifying and engaging with the relevant stakeholders to reach the project objectives and contribute to the widespread use of innovation solutions developed in the project

Key Performance Indicators list (opens in new window)

As a result of T2.1, valuation criteria/KPI’s and scoring formulae will be defined (Cost, volume, modularity, scalability, etc) and summarized in a report. These will be used to evaluate and score the different SEABAT concepts.

Roadmap for battery production and cost targets (opens in new window)

As a result of T1.3, a roadmap will be presented for battery production and cost targets, including supply chain and required skills. A European and international analysis of battery production will be carried out in order to perform a world capability prediction within the next 15 years. This will take into account the prospects of growth evaluated in task 1.2 and presented in D1.2.

Market evolution and potential within 5, 10, 15 years for different marine applications (opens in new window)

As a result of T1.2, a report will be presented that describes the market evolution and potential (number of ships) within 5, 10, 15 years for different marine applications. This study shall be oriented to predict the amount of batteries that will be needed in each ship, their capacity, obsolescence, number of cycles, etc. For existing vessels, selection of market niches and analysis of the current European market classifying it by type of vessel and fleet age for potential retrofitting actions.
