Corona irradiation in textile finishing

Objective

A CORONA discharge machine will be designed and industrially applied and new finishing processes developed. By these means, the scientific and technical objectives can be described as follows:
To describe and control hidrophilization and reticulation mechanisms for CORONA interaction with reactive resins, softeners and flame retardant products;
To characterise cotton textile materials and others natural fibres behaviour in function of CORONA treatment when integrating finishing processes of softening, easy-care and flame retardancy;
To produce hydrophilic softened materials at lower costs and with cleaner effluents;
To improve crease recovery properties lowering formaldehyde release;
To improve flame retardant products performances;
To finish raw fabrics and in consequence to produce GREEN textile materials;
To construct a CORONA machine for textile finishing industry.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: https://op.europa.eu/en/web/eu-vocabularies/euroscivoc.
