CORDIS provides links to public deliverables and publications of HORIZON projects.

Links to deliverables and publications from FP7 projects, as well as links to some specific result types such as dataset and software, are dynamically retrieved from OpenAIRE .

Exploitable results

There is currently a lack of data to describe standard as well as innovative glazingsin relation to their impact upon the daylighting of buildings. Many new glazingsare developed, but mainly for their thermal and acoustic behaviour. In many casesthese also have a visual effect which can be spectral (colouring) or spatial (lightscattering, light deviation). There is a need to define what is acceptable and whatis not acceptable on the visual aspect. There is also an interest in attractive propertiessuch as glare reduction and the improvement of daylighting performance. Theobjective of this project was to propose standard procedures for describing theproperties of glazing materials for daylighting applications and to provide data forvarious innovative glazing materials. This project is an extension of a first phaseunder JOULE contract JOUE-CT92-0052, the objective of which was to analyse andmeasure the daylighting properties in occupied buildings where innovative glazingmaterials were applied.
