Community action relating to nature conservation (ACNAT)
On 21 May 1990 the Commission of the European Communities submitted a proposal for a Council Regulation on action by the Community relating to nature conservation (ACNAT) (COM(90) 125). The Community proposes to grant financial support for projects providing an incentive towards the maintenance or re-establishment of seriously threatened biotopes of endangered species or seriously threatened habitats, and for projects providing an incentive towards the implementation of measures to conserve or re-establish endangered species.
