This deliverable will be a formal submission to the Global Stocktake under the UNFCCCs Paris Agreement The document will synthesise key findings from the Sectoral Conversations WP1 Global Benchmarks WP2 and Sectoral Modelling WP3 Sectoral Transformation Challenges WP4 and insights from the governance research WP6 as relevant to the assessment of collective progress towards achieving the goals of the Paris Agreement

Report and academic article manuscripts on sectoral climate clubs (one on the political economy of sectoral climate clubs, and one on the modelling results) (opens in new window)

This deliverable will compile two article manuscripts on sectoral climate clubs. One manuscript will address qualitative political economy aspects (responsibility: UEF) and one will provide a quantitative assessment (responsibility: E3M). The deliverable is targeted towards an academic audience. Each manuscript will be submitted for peer review in an appropriate academic journal.

Policy report on transformations required to reach Paris Agreement goals and policy mechanisms to incentivise international cooperation (opens in new window)

This report will summarize the required technological and policy requirements for achieving decarbonization of key sectors according to the modelling results of WP2. The report is targeted towards an audience of policy makers and experts in the international climate change community.

Report on Policy Dialogues to facilitate dissemination and exploitation of results (opens in new window)

A series of at least five policy dialogues will be held and documented throughout the project period. These can take various forms including small workshops or webinars. This deliverable will report on the policy dialogues held in the second half of the project.

Collection of Sectoral Transformation Policy Papers published during the second half of the project (opens in new window)

This deliverable will compile all policy papers developed and published in the course of the project. The individual policy papers have been identified as milestones (Milestones 7-10, 35-38, 43, 47-51).

Report and academic article manuscript deriving cross-sectoral and cross-country findings and recommendations (opens in new window)

This deliverable will provide a cross-sectoral analysis and synthesis building on the work contained in deliverable 4.3. The deliverable is targeted towards an academic audience. The deliverable will contain an article manuscript for submission in a peer-reviewed academic journal.

This deliverable will compile four academic article manuscripts each presenting key findings of the sectoral modelling in tasks 3.2-3.5. Each article manuscript will be the responsibility of the corresponding task lead (industry: WI, transport: DLR, buildings: E3M, AFOLU: BC3). The deliverable is targeted to an academic audience. The individual article manuscripts will be submitted for peer-review in appropriate academic journals.

Guidelines and Detailed Process Designs for Sectoral Conversations (opens in new window)

This deliverable will contain theoretic and practical guidance for the sectoral conversations as well as a detailed process design for each of the four Sectoral Conversations

Report and academic article manuscript on the contribution of bunker fuels to achieve the Paris Agreement goals (opens in new window)

This deliverable will synthesise the findings of modelling the contribution ov international aviation and shipping towards achieving the objectives of the Paris Agreement Task 22 The deliverable will include a manuscript to be submitted to a peerreviewed academic journal

Detailed country fiches to inform next NDCs' providing practical advice for national mitigation action and insights into the options available for preparing post-2030 NDCs compatible with the Paris goals (opens in new window)

This deliverable will contain a set of concise country reports (tier 1 and tier 2) summarizing key quantitative and qualitative results of tasks 5.3 and 5.4. The country fiches are targeted towards an audience of policy makers and national experts and shall inform the development of subsequent NDCs.

Report and academic article manuscripts on sectoral governance gaps and options to overcome them for industry, transport, buildings and AFOLU (opens in new window)

Report and academic article manuscripts on key enablers for Paris-compatible transformation pathways in selected countries (opens in new window)

This deliverable will compile a set of article manuscripts with key findings from the sectoral deep dives (task 5.3) on particular salient and relevant cases with insights on how the required transformation can be facilitated and accelerated in those countries/sectors. The deliverable is targeted towards an academic audience. Each individual article manuscript will be submitted for peer review in an appropriate academic journal.

This deliverable will reflect on the transdisciplinary research process implemented in the form of sectoral conversations and will make the experience with this approach accessible for an academic audience in the form of an academic article manuscript.

This deliverable will compile four academic article manuscripts each synthesising key results from the sectoral analysis in tasks 4.3-4.6. Report and article manuscript on lessons learned for the Global Stocktake (opens in new window)

This deliverable will combine practical lessons from the implementation of the sectoral conversations, insights on the process and design as well as an ex-post assessment of the first iteration of the Global Stocktake scheduled for 2023 and derive recommendations for the implementation of subsequent stocktaking exercises. The Deliverable will include an article manuscript for submission in a peer-reviewed journal

The NDC ASPECTS website will provide an overview of the project make accessible the results of our research and provide an outlet for communication activities

Data tables for national-level results from Tier 1 and Tier 2 countries to be integrated in I2AM Paris Data Exchange Plattform (opens in new window)

The quantitative results of national pathways modelling in WP5 will be made available in the form of data tables in order to enable exploitation of results within the project and beyond.
