LEARNING TO SLEEP: INCREASING HEALTH THROUGH BETTER SLEEP

Project description

Use your mobile to get a good night’s sleep

Good sleep is necessary for our health, intellectual functioning and vitality. Unfortunately, insomnia and bad sleep are very common. There are many reasons causing sleep disorders, but the most common is daily stress. While pharmacological treatment is most widespread, sleeping pills can be dangerous due to their numerous side effects. On the other hand, sleep therapy is expensive and requires clinical visits. The EU-funded LTS project supports an online solution designed by sleep experts in the field of cognitive behavioural therapy. The LTS therapy programme helps patients cure bad sleep patterns through web and mobile devices. The therapy can conveniently take place anywhere, at any time.

Objective

Learning2Sleep is an online solution for helping people affected by insomnia and poor sleep. Bad sleep affects many people in the developed world. The stress of daily life and work affects sleep patterns, which in turn impacts work performance and quality of life. Given that pharmacological solutions such as sleeping pills are not effective and harbor many side effects and sleep therapy is very expensive, there are few avenues for people to seek help. Learning2Sleep is an online treatment developed by sleep experts versed in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. It helps people get better anytime and anywhere through a therapeutic program available on mobile devices and the web.
